ADHD Testing for children/adolescents involves:
- Obtaining a thorough history from the child/adolescent and their parents.
- Questionnaires filled out by parents.
- Questionnaires filled out by teachers.
- An accurate computerized test of attention and concentration.
- Developing compensatory mechanisms
- Developing structural and behavioral techniques to deal with areas of weakness
- Working with (coordinating with) your Primary Care Physician or Psychiatrist for medication evaluations and to determine the efficacy and appropriate dosage of medication
- Creation of Educational Accommodations, 504 plans, Individualized Education Plans, (IEP’s) to maximize learning in school.
